Internet Explorer 5.5 Released

(Edited 05.05)

Internet Explorer 5.5 is now ready for the masses.

The performance and features included with Internet Explorer have easily made this browser the select choice for Windows-based users. With integration of local hard drive data, the ability to show webpage history, and the quick "launch time" of the software (as opposed to Netscape), it's no secret why Internet Explorer has blossomed over the years in mass usage.

During mid-July, Internet Explorer 5.5 was released, boasting some new features. This new version appeals mostly to web designers, who will have better tools for webpage rendering and design. For the average Joe, there are some small subtle enhancements as well.

For web designers, the new features come as a blessing. Vertical text layout, enhanced frames, and element behaviors will all be seen within the software. These features have been requested for quite some time, and missed the cutoff for IE 5.0

For the general user, one noticable feature will be the `Print Preview` Option. Users can now get a visual layout of their favorite sites before information gets sent to the printer queue. This will benefit those short in paper supply, as well as certain global-friendly individuals.

Overall, Internet Explorer 5.5 looks to be a solid product with useful features. For Microsoft, this looks to be their shining star in software creation.
