KDE 2.0.1 Coming This December 4th

By C. Rogers, 12.00

As stated in the above title, KDE 2.0.1 will make its debut on December 4, 2000. This release will address minor issues in the X-Window environment. According to KDE Dot News, this distribution will be a "bugfix and translation release".

This update will be short lived, as KDE 2.1 is already in the beta-testing mix. Version 2.1 will be going "through the grind" later this month. If all goes well, KDE 2.1 should be released sometime in Q1 2000. However, it would be best if this update is not rushed into the public domain... KDE has shown to be a stable program interface in the past, and with proper testing, will carry on its cherished legacy.

Debian users can sign up for the KDE 2.x mailing list through debian-kde-request@lists.debian.org. If interested in this newsletter personally, make sure to write "Subscribe" in the Subject field of the above address.
