Microsoft Suing Other Linux Firm
By C. Rogers, 10.00

In a weird twist of news, it looks like Microsoft will be suing another company for software infringement.  The Timpanogas Research Group, a group of Linux advocates may be potentially sued for using NTFS coding within the Linux OS.

In the past, the Timpanogas Research Group was successfully sued by the Novell corporation for other infringements, surfacing around the NetWare software. Although TRG has been attempting "good-will" within the Linux community over time, they have made a few enemies in the process.

TRG contends that the implementation of NTFS assists users of Linux slowly crossing from the Windows NT platform. Microsoft would not have any of this, and quickly called for a halt to this plan. As soon as TRG found this out, they promptly deleted the "hacked" code from all their servers and workstations. However. since some individuals already have this NTFS code, Microsoft may still pursue a lawsuit in the upcoming future.
