VMware, the software which supports a virtual machine environment under the Intel platform, has recently been funded $20 million by Dell Computer.

This funding will certainly help VMware become a staple in computing; for the mass public, the swapping between the Windows and Linux OSes will become more commonplace as time progresses.

The VMware software allows users to have multiple operating-systems run alongside one another. It will also allow swapping files between the OSes through an internal application.. One important feature with VMware is the fact that if one OS crashes (in most cases Windows), it won't bring the other down as well.
